Nicole Nesheim

As a co-founder of Raleigh Educational Coaching, Nicole enjoys helping students realize their full potential with a precise focus on their individual goals. Facilitating student growth and bringing dreams to fruition is her driving motivation when partnering with clients.

Originally from the Washington metropolitan area, Nicole holds a B.A. in English with a Minor in Pedagogy and Human Development, an M.A.T. in Secondary English Education, a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in New Literacies, Dialogic Learning, and Teacher Preparation, and a certification in School Administration.

While working in the field of education for over a decade, Nicole taught abroad in Japan, in multiple high schools, and at the university level while concurrently mentoring aspiring educators. She has tutored countless students, mentored pre-service teachers, and also served as a K-8 school administrator.

Her publications have been included in the Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership, the Literacy Research Association Yearbook, and the Journal of Language and Literacy Education. She has given presentations for both the Literacy Research Association and the National Council of the Teachers of English, and has served as an editor for the Literacy Research Association. Nicole is an associate member of IECA, the Independent Educational Consultants Association, and ASCD, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
